Practitioner License Program
The post-baccalaureate program is ²¹²ÔÌýonline one-year alternative teacher certification program that prepares teacher candidates who have earned a bachelor’s
degree in a content area outside of the field of education to pursue teaching certification
while serving as a teacher of record and completing program coursework.Ìý

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited universityÌý
• 2.20 GPA or higher in undergraduate coursework
• Passing score on PRAXIS CONTENT EXAM (Contact us to confirm PRAXIS exam code)
• Application through ULM Undergraduate Admissions
OTHER INFORMATION
The academic program consists of 8 courses (24 credit hours) over three semesters
(summer, fall, & spring). The PRAXIS PLT-Principles of Learning & Teaching exam is
required for certification.

The cost of the academic program is $250 per credit hour. Tuition is paid per semester,
based on ULM policy. Payment plans are available through Student Account Services.ÌýFinancial
Aid is available upon qualification.
